Raised in a rural area, blackouts are one thing that transcend all seasons, and while I should be representing one season, a blackout that occurs in summer is different than one in winter, spring or fall.

This picture just happened during the major summer blackout that affected Ontario and the eastern states.

The only changes from the original are minor curves and color balance adjustments, crop, and unsharp mask.

Doesn`t really meet the challenge.

Blackouts aren't specific to a season, and candles aren't always used for blackouts. But this is a beautiful candle photo. The colors are great, and I like the contrasting dark space to the right.

I guess blackouts are related to the seasons, but to me its pushing it alittle.

Nicely focused. Soft yet sharp where it needs to be. But it doesn't tell me anything about seasons. Were you in NY or another city that was blacked out?

Fair redoing of a cliche.
