 I improved on this by not cropping part of the head, making sure the feathers were not blown, and watching the eye shadows. This is my 20-yr old parrot girl, Peso.

This is a gorgeous close up. Parrots make great pets if you have neighbors who don't mind when the birds want to make a lot of happy racket.
They are much smarter than most people think they are.

beautiful close up. Bird feathers are hard to do well at actual pixels because of the detail conflicting with the pixels (I forgot what its called). Excellent work!
