 This is how I felt the day when I submitted this photograph. I wanted to destroy something. The computer which I use to process photos has been moved to my parents office because they've got a new worker. It will not come back until the end of the summer. Because of that I'll have to go to their office every time I want to process photos. That's very hard.

I splashed about 15 water-balloons before I discovered that I could hold the balloon in my hand with a dark sock. Then I shot about 15 shots of that balloon and this was the best one. It's lit with one old Vivitar flash. I processed it a little in photoshop. I tried to make an angry post-processing style but this looked more like the Dragan effect.

Greetings from the Critique Club! :)

This is a great setup...your choice of subject, your lighting, your processing...they all worked together and scored very well for this challenge. The display of tension and impending doom is quite well done and I tip my hat. I think that the only suggestion I can make for an improvement would be to crop more on the right side and make it a tiny bit more off-center, but that's just a nitpick on my part.

This is most excellent. The processing, idea, comp...everything seems to be spot on. Personally, I think this was really underrated. Should have gotten top ten. Nice work, sir.

I belive that this wouldve been better if you had actually popped it and frozen the water in the air with a flash

Although I like the grungy look, I feel that the ballon and dart were not necessary. Looks like you could have taken the shot of two hands with the light you used and got a spectacular shot!

Looking fwd to read about what the balloon is!?! Nice lightning.. good colors (don't know if it would have been better to crop out the "odd" on the top).. very good though, good luck
