congrats on the top 10 finish.
I think the image is a bit too wide, and I would love too see those tall flowers in focus to.
other than that it's a great picture. |

First of all - congrats on a page 1 finish!! Awesome!
Composition/subject
Excellent choice of subject and composition. To me, it's very well balanced - the yellow flowers near the center perfectly balance having the bunny off the left and looking to the right. DOF used is great, and the best part is the angle, looking along the same level rather than "down" at the bunny.
Technical
Great job with post processing - especially the "selecting the bunny" part and treating him/her separately.
Meets challenge
Yep, meets challenge very nicely, even if you did do what half of us did and find the lyric/line after the picture was taken. :-)
My opinion
Lovely, sweet shot with pretty much universal appeal. Can't see anything I'd want changed. |

hello again,
wow. you did very well. congrats.
the only thing i might like to see is them yellow flowers that just break the plane between green and yellow..... ifn they could be in focus that would be sweet.
well done. |

Well, I think we all knew that it was only a matter of time. Much of your portfolio is terrific, and breaking into the top ten was only a matter of time. You did a great job in meeting the challenge, as well as producing a technically superb image. I am not using my normal critique flow becasue there are not many things I would suggest changing. I would ask that you include your editing steps in the Photographer's Comments. It really helps out when I critique an image. The only technical change I would make would be adding a curves adjustment to reduce some of the haze in the shot. A slight s-curve would have done this, adding a bit of contrast as well. Nice work, and congrats on a well-deserved top 10! |

Brilliant shot and not far of a strecth at all to fit it in the challenge. I gave you and 8 in this and would have bumped it up if I had the opportunity to go back and review my top picks. This was my top pick. Great focus and DOF. Wonderful crop - the height of this shot works great - wouldn't want it any taller. The colors are gentle and subdued and allow for the bunny to stand out just right. I love this shot and am adding it to my favs. Great job!!! |

Congratulations on your top ten finish! This is an excellent shot and your processing is fantastic. I love how the rabbit is so sharp in focus but the flowers are still so soft. Really a sweet shot! |

Wish I could say I put hours of patience but to be honest I just got lucky. He was in a meadow just the other side of a canal I was walking along - so waited less than 5 minutes to get him stood up like that, peeking over the grass.

How about 210mm? ;) Shot at the longest end of my lens, thats like 420mm in 35mm equivalent. Looks narrow to me, but I guess that's 'cause I was there - maybe the crop makes it appear wider... |

What can I say, but congratulations on your top ten finish. The DOF is superb as is the focus on the rabbit. The colors are a good choice too. Really, I have nothing to offer to improve upon this shot. I didn't enter or vote in this challenge, but I would have given this at least 8. |

This 'Nature's Son' sits in a field of grass with yellow "swaying daisies sing a lazy song beneath the sun". A wonderful capture of nature in all it's splendor and beauty. I love the hare as he peaks out over the field of meadow greens and warm yellow daisies. Colors and subject matter is very visually appealing to the eye. |

The use of shallow DOF to almost "sandwich" your subject in a very narrow band of focus, really gives the image impact.
Good choice of lyric from "Mother Nature`s Son", it works so well with the subject matter.
Hope this does well...Good Luck. |
