It's good that you are trying stuff with your camera. I want to encourage you to continue.

Please do a couple of things.

1)If you enter another challenge follow the rules.

2)Don't just submit any image. Have your friends help you, experiment with light, the settings on your camera, and your imagination.

Learning equals growing.

Challenge related: You are using a natural light in a artificial light challenge.

Technical: The shot is nice. The focus is a little soft and a softer light would have worked very well with this photo. that could have been achieved just by darkening the photo a little. The portion of the window right about the cat is so bright that it sort of takes away from the cat.

I'm pretty sure that there's some sunlight involved in this shot. Even if I'm wrong, the picture, I feel, is a technical failure. Poor composition, weak colors, over-exposed, etc.

oh dear

looks a bit washed out, and i dont think you utilized your photo size on this. that would have helped

The source of lighting appears to be sunlight - which is not using one source of artificial light as the challenge directed. Aside from that, the image is over-exposed for the amount of lighting coming through the window. The feet being cropped off and the odd stance of the cat make the composition weak.

Focus seems off and the composition could be improved. Also, the challenge was artificial light.

I am sorry, but unless you have a couple 18Kw HMI motion picture lamps comming through your windows, as per the rules, natural light is not permitted.

Overexposed and uses natural light instead of a "single artificial light source"

dnmc - light source is not artificial. besides that, badly cropped and overexposed

Is this really artficially lit? Looks like sunlight to me.

single artifical light source?
