 Took this shot at the beach right as a storm pulled in. We proceeded to take cover and couldn’t leave because it was raining so hard. What an amazing storm.

One of the best uses of non-flat negative space. I like the image and though it's not traditional negative space, the added sky presents a foreboding awe to the mood. 9

dark and stormy - this is a nice use of negative space - there is texture in the clouds, but they are solid enough to still be negative space.

I think the subject is the picnic table, so the negative space is the grass around the table which isn't nearly as interesting as the sky. I don't see the sky as "negative space" because it's not what surrounds the subject.
