From the Critique Club :
Hi Sarito !
Well , first I have to confess that I love cats , they are wonderful !
I have noticed that this one has been your model for different challenges , I hope you see him (?) in more entries , it's a beautiful cat.
Back to your photo I think that you could have worked more the post processing as advanced editing was allowed.
My first impression is that the background is "too" present and as Shutterpug commented the square pattern doesn't help much.A more neutral background would have centered more the attention on the lovely subject.
The light you used seems too "strong" , you maybe could have softened it , the shadows are very dark and the chin is burned and as it's quite centered on the photo I'm quite sure that voters have lowered their votes for this.
Please feel free to email me about this critique.

Um, your cat's blurry. And I don't think the background works.
Good luck on this. Yeah. |

I don't usually care for pet shots, but this is technically well done. |

The lighting seems harsh uuner the chin and the focus a bit too soft. I'm not real crazy about the background choice either. While the blue color of the background does compliment the gray cat, the square patterns are what I find distracting, and the sharp crease on the left side |
