The "Bokeh' or DOF, (as some would say) in this shot, is really soft and lovely, and actually helps the bluebell to stand out more.....
Very pleasing to the eye, and I like that.....

I really like this..I don`t feel that the slight blurriness of some of the flower petals detracts from the shot at all..I feel it adds to the overall softness of the image.
The background is a beautiful mix of greens and blues and the perfect foil for the plant.
The central composition seems to work well.
Nicely done. |

| This feels a lot like a shot that I would have taken. I love the soft but colorful background. I think the composition is great. Maybe the stem and flowers could be a little sharper, but it is still ok. Was it cloudy? It looks like the lighting is very even and soft, which is great for flower shots. |

| I really like the blurred background from shallow DOF. I wish the foreground flowers stood out a little more from them. If the background had been in darker lighting that may of helped, or perhaps a tighter crop. You probably could of also closed down some stops to get every flower in the foreground in sharp focus. Overall, I really like this photo, good compositions and great color. It's just some of the nitpicky things that keeps this from being over the top with me. |

this could have been a nice picture, the colors are good, composition is good, and it's a lovely flower, but the focus is sooo shallow that only a very small portion of the flower is in focus.
if the whole flower were in focus this would heve been print material, but not as it is. |
