Sorry i had no time to add a long descrition. i litterally posted this last second! I first thought that it would be great to get the spark from the wires themselves, but that fell through. so i had to go to flint and knife which worked very well! Yes i know that it is speaker wire, but that is all i had, and i think the clear wire makes it look better. Thank you for all of the comments!

Congrats on your ribbon and new personal best score!!

Obviously, while the title is "failure" to connect, you did connect with the viewers. It is a very good idea, and very well executed.

The *only* thing I can really say about what would have made it "better" is that to me it cuts the frame in almost half, and this leads to a composition that is static. The eyes go to the spark, and that is about it. If there had been a way to set it on a diagonal (either corner to corner, or just part of the way), I *think* that would have more motion through the frame.

technically, very well done.

Again, good work. Sorry I couldn't add more.

My first thought was I like this. Then I wondered why speeker wire was used, not electrical wire. I do like the image and the lighting of it. It has lots of drama to it.

I think that a faster shutter speed to stop the motion of some of the sparks would have served this one better. Nice image and great idea, but I'd like to see the sparks with less light trails.
