 I thought of this idea pretty quickly and had great fun setting it up. Obviously a selection of chillis plus a red pepper/capscicum, but with a row of relighting birthday cake candles set up behind the pepper. Had to have two attempts at the set up before I was happy, and I would still wish for a ND filter or better contrast masking skills to deal with the rather blown out parts of the flames.

Shot in RAW and converted using Olympus Master. PP included levels and curves, minor colour adjustment to the reds. Cloned out a small hot spot in the back ground, and a very small part of one of the candles that could be seen behind the pepper. Resized, added stroke frame and saved.

Nice vivid image. I don't particulary like the flame position in the photo. I think if the candle had been placed to the right front of the peppers, you would have had some nice reflections playing on the front of the peppers. Overall though a nice shot.

Don't know exactly what it is, maybe the colour (all red) or the composition, but it can't hold my attention for too long. 6
