 I believe that racism still exists in our world and anytime the color barrier is broken we witness humanity succeeding. Especially when the cultural ideals of old are let go so that society and community can continue to flourish. During a cookout with friends and family I asked my grandmother and a good friend of mine to shake hands. The picture was taken outdoors just after noon so that the lighting was straight obove. I didnt want any shadows. There is more to this picture of sucess than just a handshake that I hope is obvious to all eyes.

Hello from the critique club!

Composition - Excelent actually, maybe could have cropped it a litle better but not much more to say, the depth of focus could have been a litle more just to make the grandmothers arm in focus, but the background is excelent.

Technical - Nice technique, crisp and clear. The grandmothers skin tones could be a litle whiter.

Overall - Good photo, I believe that the subject doesnt quite fit the theme to all of the people voting wich drags your score down a little. I like it though and I think it fits the theme.
Good photo, you get a 7/10 from me.
5,6 is a great first photo score

This is a good shot and well represents a relationship between young and old. That said I'm having a hard time fitting it into the 'success' theme. The image itself has good depth of field and colour.
