 This is a prominent metalworking artist in our area putting the finishing touches on some pieces he built for one of the buildings the company I work for is restoring and getting ready to open up for its first event next week. He built all the metal work you see in the picture. I hope you guys like this, because I love it. If you don't. . .well. ..I still love it :)

I love this Sandy, and agree with the others, that it should have scored higher.....
I am pleased that we are close again in position as well as score, re this challenge.....

I really can't understand the lack of high scores on this.

If this isn't heat, I don't know what is. It is so artfully done and the kaleidoscope of colors is astounding. Man, Sandy.... I don't get it.

Way underrated in my opinion. This is great composition-wise, perfect crispness and clarity. I suppose some folks don't realize "heat" can indeed be "blue". Great shot, and I love the guy's welding mask. This is one that takes more than the usual 2 seconds viewing time to truly appreciate!

Love the flow of lines and colors just pop but the blue of the welder or torch just does not give it enough dramatic representation of heat too myself. Using a tool that would have produced red sparks would have been nice.

I've spent all my working life doing just this.
Oil rigs,power stations, brewerys etc., and I didn't realize how artistic I looked. Top marks from me.
