This shot was completely candid. I was making a cake for my father\\\'s birthday, and I just liked the way that the egg yolks looked in the green bowl -- like a little flower.

I am assuming that those are the separated egg yolks in the green bowl in the foreground, but they need to be better lit for me to be sure.

shadows are far too harsh.

Creative idea, and light play is great, but I feelthat the lighting in this case doesn't quite work.

This is a creative idea, with the different kinds of eggs. However, I think the lighting could be much improved, most of the image is dark. I also don't like the container in the bottom left corner or the lid in the bottom right corner because they distract from the eggs.

The lighting makes this difficult to appreciate. Using a flash might fill in the dark areas and smooth out the bright ones. I can barely see the egg yolks in the green bowl.

The light and dark areas are too strong. It's hard to see the eggs in the bowls.

Great idea but the lighting is really hurting here. Put the white in the shade and color in the sun.

I wish you had more light in the green bowl. The one on the right could use some more light as well. Too much of the image is dark and with out life from light. I do like the way every thing is not lit the same. Still having that hard light, but over more of the image would be nicer to me. The eggs in the green bowl should pop with life from the light IMHO.

Image is a little dark/better lighting angles would help. Also seems a little cluttered. I'd suggest sticking to just the egg carton and 2 bowls.

This meets the challenge – it’s inanimate and arranged - but high contrast chaos is spoiling it. 5

Interesting play of light, maybe a bit too countrasty though. Something about composition throws me a bit off too.

the shadows are a bit too busy for me...
