Angle or crop could have made this a lot more interesting for me- |

This doesn't strike me as a very strong expression of the challenge theme of still life. I also think the composition might be more appealing from a different angle. |

This does not meet the challenge - inanimate but not an arranged composition of objects. |

Estes Park, Colorado!!! My wife and I went there last fall for a vacation. I took almost this exact shot! What a small world. |

Nice composure of the subject. Might be a bit off challenge topic though. |

Nice picture, but it DNMC. I just cannot stretch this one to come close to any of different definitions for still life. |

I wish my bat (from the night shots challenge) would have stayed as still as your eagle! lol |

I gave this photo a 1 because it didn't seem to me to fulfill my expectation of a "still life," a classic form of artfully arranged objects. Call me narrow minded but that's the way I see it. |

A still life generally brings together a number of elements arranged by the artist into an eyecatching grouping. Ignoring that and considering the photo, it's an interesting subject but could be made more striking by increasing contrast. I'd suggest cropping tighter left, both to remove the extraneous bush and to bring the subject out of center, giving more illusion of flight toward the edge of the frame. Maybe check out info on the rule of thirds. Hope this helps :) |

Doesn't really meet the challenge, IMO. The composition could be improved as well. |
