Camera: Canon PowerShot Pro1
Location: Science Classroom
Date: May 12, 2006
Aperture: 2.4
ISO: 50
Shutter: 1/50

I saw found a bat skeleton on a shelf in the biology class, so I set it up, and took a shot. :)

I enjoy this photo and was easy to do. Editing was hard though, but I got some advice from friends ^___^ (JL from DPC)

Now THIS is a quality still life, or still death! Unfortunately I was put off by the gay title of the challenge & didn't vote in it, otherwise you would have had a 10 from me.

BTW, forgot to mention, this was arranged.

It was a skeleton in the Biology class at school, I put the tray it was on under some better lighting, and off the shelf, the bat was put there by the teacher, I moved the wing a little bit. I feel that coutns as arranged.

Thanks a lot. It didn't do to bad, I predicted about a 5.5 so above expectations :-) Oooh the controversy, still life or not? :-p

a stunning image, but, sadly, i don't think it's a still life. so, a 5.

This does not meet the challenge - inanimate but not an arranged composition of objects.

I gave this photo a 1 because it didn't seem to me to fulfill my expectation of a "still life," a classic form of artfully arranged objects. Call me narrow minded but that's the way I see it. Your photo is an arresting photo, however, which I like very much.
