Challenge: Self Portrait IV (Advanced Editing IV*)
Camera: HP PhotoSmart R707
Location: Saratoga Wyoming
Date: May 14, 2006
Galleries: Emotive, Self Portrait
Date Uploaded: May 15, 2006

A styalized picture of me, the last picture my camera took before it fell face first in the creek and the only setup for a self portrait i took. Since i had so much time to edit it, I may have gone overboard, but it kept me sane until my camera dried out. This is a very tight crop of a much larger image so some of the detail was lost.

Neat imaged, rotated and croped, got rid of an odd reflection on the eyelid amd cloned out some dead pixels, auto adjusted levels, adjusted the hue and saturation, another trip through neat image, usm and a softglow and another usm, burned, adjusted colors again and changed the hue of the water.

Neatimage is the killer on this one. I feel behind the plastic (feel) there is a beautiful face and amazing capture. I would love to see this picture without neatimage (or atleast not over-NeatImage), some more saturation and soft-diffused glow which will give it "fantasy" feel. I'm glad there still are members which like to try "different" styles. Thanks for being one of them though this perticular style of PP does not work for me. Goodluck for future submissions.

While tis is a playful attempt, I think it got a tad overdone in NI.

Whoa! Neat Image! Frankly you're far too pretty to need all that blur.

No, too much neatimage! You probably wanted this effect but I don't think it works. Sorry!

Too much neat image or blur for my taste.

this is neat image overkill on what looks like an otherwise unique and well thought out picture.

The Neat Image is way out of control here.

A little overuse of something like neat image ... and it seems slightly oversharpened .. is an interesting concept for a self portraint ... as well as a good composition.

Wow. It's like neatimage exploded all over the place here. I do like your expression though. And points for the courage to lay down away from your camera while it's near water.

This is my favorite image in the competition. The mood set and the composition give the image a sense of mystery.

I really like this image. I'm sure some people won't appreciate the neat image-esque nature of this shot, but I do! Nice job!

selective desat, nice. it's hard to tell what she's doing unless you read the title, without it, it looks like she's looking at her reflection.

nice pix, blacks and whites good enough, the softness on your face doesn't bother me, actually I like it. Good lighting, nice comp, nice movement.

Oh, easy on the neat image. If non was used I apologize but I can't see what else could have removed so much detail from her hairr and face. Would love to see the original, this looks like it could be very nice.

Interesting idea and perspective. I like the muted colors and composition. The shot does look a little over processed, which I'm not a huge fan of, but this type of processing could really work well in some situations.
