Just wanted to say thank you to cresus, eschelar and larus for giving me some PS advice using basic editing rules, that helped a lot! (also thanx to yanko, who said to use more negative space which I tried but not so successfully due to trying to arrange picture around sensor dust) Well, my second entry did better than the first, so I hope this one does better than both.

Also note, my poor lil minolta couldn't do this picture AT all, so I used my bf's 30D with his super dust-tronic lens complete with authentic Japanese hair inside. (he's still banging his head over that one) Sucks about the milk being blown out, but I had to in order to get rid of the last few sensor dusts, so let the voting begin

hmmm... here's a little darker version:

I'll go with the comments about the difficulties of white-on-white, and try to remember that myself!

Very creative idea, though, and your hand position matches the title very well. I know that feeling myself, which is why I'll choose a wide-rimmed cup for cookie dipping.

I love it. It should have placed much higer. It's maybe the white background. You could had had it black or pink or something. I gave it an 8.

Amanda, for what it is worth, I would have shot the milk against a colored background for contrast. You run into a lot of issues with white-on-white if you don't have very sophisticated control of the lighting.

I'm thinking a nice red background would have given your shot a few more points.

I'd give this a little contrast boost. Nice idea.

would have been a little better if you could have seen the milk at the bottom of the glass...but cute idea all the same!

I really like this idea and the photo is great. I think it is a touch over exposed - the milk is really hard to distinguish. Other wise well done.

Too much white. Perhaps a different color background might have added more drama.

There must be Oreo karma based on the number of cookie lens caps... :-) Might be a bit better to have the glass more to the right of the pic and show more of the shadow.

The white is so bright that you can't see the milk at the bottom. Might work better on a different color background.

Maybe just a little too much white-on-white.

I like this. I especially like the fact that there are no distracting background items so the subject jumps right out at you.
