HAHAHA This will probably score low, but not because of me...

Points for humour, thanks. Would have preffered it without the pixelation.

clever title and conception but the execution doesn't hold up
08/24/2003 12:45:58 PM
The shadow looks like fall.

haha. good play on words. the image is very bitmappy, but nice take on the challenge.

The background is distracting to me. Clever!

Cleve ridea..good composition and colors but too noisy(pixilated)
08/23/2003 04:03:25 AM
The idea is amusing but the execution is pretty bad. The shot is grainy. Sometimes noise adds to a photo, but in this case I don't see it adding anything.

No points for meeting the challenge with a non-season sense of spring, but I like your composition with the spring and its interesting shadow, and you've left enough space around it to keep it from being cramped. There is some sort of pixelation, but it doesn't look like the oversampling or compression artifacts so common in digital photos, and I kind of like the effect it gives to this image. I think it makes the photo a lot more interesting than just a sharp spring on a polished granite surface. Was it intentional? It is a bit distracting, perhaps slightly overdone, but it's hard to say. It looks great viewed a few feet back.

Too much noise. Turning down the ISO setting should improve the picture a lot. Composition is nice. Shadow would improve with less noise.

Ahh, cute, I get it. Is the shot grainy or is it my monitor?
08/20/2003 06:09:32 PM
Nice abstract....Spring. sorry about pixelation on your photo.

Funny idea. Picture itself is too grainy.
08/20/2003 12:14:56 PM
An interesting concept, and nice composition... but the image quality is really quite low here for some reason...
08/20/2003 10:38:20 AM
no spring in the air ?
08/20/2003 10:19:19 AM
This sort of looks like a picturer of a picture. I like the shadow and the idea behind this, it is very grainy tho...

I really like the noise and lighting in this shot, as well as, the soft focus and compositioin. Simple, but very effective abstract. I like the pastel effect of the background and the way the color graduates between a bluish purple on bottom and reddish orange on top. I find this to be a very artsy picture. However, I don't believe that a play on words here meets the challenge requirements, and I also think a border would have been appropriate.

the photo doesn't meet the challenge and there are some extreme jpg artifacting problems here as well.
08/20/2003 06:47:23 AM
Great sharpness and clarity :D

?
08/20/2003 05:11:24 AM
...what?
08/20/2003 04:37:00 AM
i didn't - yet... i will have to come back to it later, unless you'd like to pm and explain it to me... either way, lots of pixelation here... 1.

This competition will be hard, but this photo really made me laugh. It is exactly in my family's humor spectrum too.
08/20/2003 01:03:55 AM
this is funny, but the image is very pixelated.
08/20/2003 12:29:43 AM
I love the thought put behind this photo, but there is a problem. I don't know if it's just my computer or what, but this is a very grainy photo. The only other thing I see is the glare from the light.

I was looking at this for a minute or two trying to figure this out and then it hit me - I laughed so loud !!! Little humour never hurts :-))
