You know...I really like this shot! The colors and textures are very appealing to me. It stretches my definition of environmental portrait a bit, but there's a lot that I like about this photo.

I'm not normally a DNMC person, but I'm not sure how this relates to the challenge. That being said, it's an excellent photo with nice textures and composition

i would expect a portrait to have something living in it....very nice picture, but not entirely appropriate, i don't think

Environmental portraits are generally of people for personality feature stories. I like the lighting but it doesn't fit the challenge.

I like that this is outside the box. The composition, clarity and lighting are great. My only little issue is the right side. I think it might work better if it were more in focus to bring the eye in. Nice photo !
