I don't think the close crop hurt thsi shot at all. :) Excellent, creative use of your available lighting! |

In regards to you being a bit disappointed you had to crop this so close - don't be! I think this looks great the way it fills up the frame. Keeps that very intense yellow going all the way flush with the (appropriate) border. |

Wow, cool. Thanks for the votes & comments - very exciting to end up in the top 10! To answer the questions about the color of my lens cap, I didn't use paint - I just saturated the pic in Photoshop. There were yellow reflections on the cap from the petals, which turned a bright & solid yellow once saturated. |

Very, very clever, and one of my favorites in this challenge.....
Not to comfortable with the border, as I think a simple black one would have made the image "POP"..... |
