Don't know how old this bear is. I found it while cleaning up my Aunt's house after she died at age of 87, six months ago. And I just fell in love.

Darkening, cropping to the right size, sharpening after cropping.

I think if you're going to crop one side, you need to crop both. Otherwise, it seems out of balance. The flower stems seem harsh compared to the softness of the bear and the blossoms.

seems weird to sit the vase and bear side by side amd I'm not sure about the harsh lighting through the flowers and on the bear

I like the idea of this but it's a bit too cutesy for my taste. I think if you backed up and maybe used a sepia filter and didn't have such a tight crop, it might have more of a nostalgic sense and neutralize the overall image. Good luck. ;~D
