 This shot is a combination of the same shot taken 3 times. One with the metered exposure, one 2 about 1.5 stops above and one 1.5 stops below the metered exposure. They were combined in CS2 using the Automate - HDR Combine. After that, the usual processing was done to bring out the colors, contrast, etc.

The star burst was created by using a small aperature (f22, I believe) and shooting directly into the sun. The sun was just coming over the horizon. There is not star filter. I did use a polarizer.

Now who would get the crazy idea to use shots of Mesa Arch for HDR?! Oh, wait... :) LOL! AWESOME shot! I think I like your angle even better than mine. :D

I really gotta learn how to do HDR right. This looks awesome. I love the colors, especially how the yellow and blue under the arch contrast and complement each other.

Stunning photo, Great composition and nice use of im guessing a cross screen filter. Looks almost like a postcard you would buy in one of the gift shops out there.
