| This shot would need to look candid to communicate desolation for me. The subjects look too staged which is unfair if they are truly suffering. Composition is too central and unengaging. [3] |

| looks a little too staged. May have been better if they were interacting a little more (I.E. heads closer together) and their wardrobe was different. |

| This shot feels posed. A different DOF and angle would help. Perhaps if you took the shot from underneat (kneeling shooting up at them) |

| I like the sad expressions on these little faces, but I would have liked to see something done to the photo to capture the mood. Off-centering the girls or perhaps using black and white, with your lighthing focused more on their faces than their pants would have added a more artistic touch. |

| Heyy I think I had that Lisa Frank shirt when I was little. I hope they're just pretending to be sad, by the way. |
