 This is an old confessional in Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Conejos, Colorado.It has probably heard a lot of secrets over the years. This is the oldest churce in Colorado - it is over 150 years old. It is built in the Spanish style, they do most of their masses in Spanish.

I really had wanted to take a picture of the beautiful Alter but they had some sort of dreadful plastic banner hanging up in front of the lovely old Crucifix.

Editing: Crop; shadow/highlight tool; adjustment layers for levels, curves and contrast; flatten image; noise removal; resize; smart sharpen; save for web.

As tempting as the back lighted stain glass window is, what I find most interesting here is the way the light from the window falls on the confessional and relfects in the glass of the door. As it is the window seems over exposed and the interior under exposed.

The soft lighting really makes this image. There seems to be a lot of different lines that are competing for perspective and so it seems a little distorted but the mood comes over great.
