 I so much wanted to get the moon and cross in focus by zooming in on the moon. It was not to be. I could get the moon perfect but the cross would be out of focus or the cross would be in focus but not the moon. Just couldn't get the right DOF. This is the compromise.

Thank you so much everyone that voted & to those that left comments. I very nearly didn't enter this challenge. I 'm glad I did.

Around May/June 2015 I returned to this church that is on a hill out in the country. I was going to try this shot again. The conditions were almost identical. Clear blue sky & the moon out early. Too my horror, the church goers have allowed a cellphone tower to be built right beside the spire. I will never be able to reproduce this shot again with the same church.

The yellow and blue are very strong compliments. Strong tie to the challenge. And I'm a sucker for a good daytime moon shot. :) Great job!

Probably need about a third cropping off the right and the same off the bottom. Nice idea otherwise.

A similar shot to another one in this challenge. Would be better if the moon was juxtaposed to the right of the spire but good shot nonetheless.
