I would love to have seen this shot with a polarising filter to emphasise the spawn under the water..it would probably have added that little extra.

mating process?
a hard to catch photo, I'm sure.
And a polarizer may do wonders on this to remove some (or all) of the water reflections. The dirt under the water looks interesting.

not another one of those nature movies where they show animals doing it for the entire hour! Nice composition, but what a dull topic (unless you're a frog).

the use of a polorizing filter would help with the water reflections....i think it would make this photo be in the 7 range....but as is I am scoring a 5
