My first impression fo this shot is that I really like the muted-ness of most of the colors, but the bright green beyond the covered area.

Compositionally speaking, I think it works well to have the contrast between the two buildings, joined by a walkway. This speaks metaphorically, if you will, about conversion, even if you have to think about it for a minute or two. Also, I like how it "peeks" into what is to come through the covered area. The only thing that doesn't work for me is the white corner "post" looking thing cutting the picture in half. I find it distracting and wonder if would have been possible to compose the shot without having it quite so centered.

Technically, again, I love the colors in this. The focus and exposure seem right on.

For this challenge, I wonder if others thought about Dante's writings and were trying to reconcile the picture to that, instead of the book you alluded to in your comments? It doesnt' seem contrived, and the picture does well to establish what could be a setting of the movie.

Well done, and best wishes in future challenges.

I found that out soon enough. It doesn't pay to submit anything that would not be generally understood readily. But I'm still happy with this photo and title. One of my best submissions yet, IMO. :o)

It's not a typo: Dante's Divine Comedy brought about many conversions to christianity, it seems. Thanks for commenting!

A truly magnificient image. I would hazard a guess that this is an image taken in Quebec City of what I believe to be the Nun's residence on Grande Allée.

Very nice job... and in keeping with your usual high standards. Well done indeed.

I kinda wish there was a face peeking out from the curtain - but to do that, it would probably be Breaking and Entering and you would have been arrested. Cool perspective on this shot.

I like the DOF, the POV, the composition and the colour treatment. but altogether the shot is just lacking in something to make it a movie poster.

I love Dante Alighieri. Good shot, really love the colors. Looks like an European village to me.

Where's Beatrice? I love your title and I even like your photograph, but I don't see how it conveys a movie. I have no idea what this movie is about. Architecture?
