Shot near Bridgewater, PA, at the first railroad track I could find where I didn't think anyone would call the police as a result of seeing some geek taking pictures of himself on railroad tracks...

I like this photo, it's like saying "What's next ON the path of Life".

This person would have to be very desolute and rejected to sit and wait for a train.

great shot. I would consider cropping an inch off the top

Well composed I like it. I'm not sure that the theme is carried out. If you create a train suicide, as my understanding, there should be more indication in the photo, not just by the title. Because by the photo itself it looks more like he is just sitting there.

the story that is told here is really nice especially with the person not facing the camera. It leaves the expression and thoughts up to the viewer.

interesting concept.. but the subject looks very relaxed.. maybe if we could see his face of desolation, anxiety or something.. but nice concept.. =)

Striking. The picture tells the story as many entries really don't. Beautifully crisp contrast and great leading lines.

I love this shot. The cropping is perfect and grayscale works great for this picture.

This photo definitely evokes emotion. Technically very nice, sharp with good contrast. The railroad track draws the eye nicely.

The implications of this shot are truly difficult to think about. Had your subject given slightly different body language to convey his intent, I think it would have been even more powerful. Nicely shot though.

Is this implying suicide?
08/13/2003 07:32:19 AM
might have been better if the subject wasnt centered

BW good choice for this. I like the angle of the shot and I especially like the double track because I think it really adds to the theme of the photo.

Dramatic and macabre - beautifully photographed. Great composition, excellent control over focus, crisp foreground, clear backdrop - must be a winner!

I like the picture, but I think the person on the track and the title were completey unnecessary

Creative. This has a lot of story to it. I like the composition and the way the tracks fade off into infinity. Your use of light and contrast is well done as well.
