Well I think you've taken the photograph well, with a clear knowledge of how to use your camera to achieve good results. The sky in particular is powerful and well captured to bring life and mood to the image. Your shutter speed of 1/80 was certainly a good call for that. I think as far as the image goes, it seems a little odd to have centred the tablets at the base of the photograph and then to have the crucifix off centre, a bit confusing as to the actual subject of the photo.

For such a great picture, it's a shame it didn't go further in this competition though. I think the only problem really was the relevance to the competition title. Your title I think is fine, and being an atheist I completely agree with it, but it looks as though if you covered up the title, there's nothing in the image itself that signifies a link to 'DPC Cinema'. Even movie posters these days tend to have colour, although I don't think this picture would have been quite so effective if it weren't in b&w.

Overall, I think that if the competition were a free study or possibly orientated around religion, this photo would have gone much further because it is a great photo.

Good luck with further competitions!

The sky is nice and I think the mood overall is great. I think for this title I would like to see a more beautiful crucifix and a less drab image. 7 for the great photo.

very moody. maybe a higher contrast would have given it a litte more pop to it, but this works well.

I imagine a documentary on the role of Christ in people's lives today, since all you are showing is a tombstone. I think the image along with your provocative title will work well. You might even get some protestors outside the movie theaters! :)

Good shot. Love your choice for black and white, fits well. Could use a bit more contrast though.

You are going to get crucified (pun intended) on this title; according to Christians, Christ did not "die" and He was not a "prophet", He was the Messiah.
