Yes, this is the same shoot as the Free Study XI challenge. I could not decide which one to use on that challenge and couldn\'t resist using one here. This was shot at sunset in the hills in Chatsworth. I was fortunate enough to shoot in/around the house formerly owned by The Carpenters (more photos in my portfolio to follow?). Most of my interest, however, fell on the amazing rocks outside (controlling indoor lighting on a budget is almost prohibitively difficult thus far).

I could have used Advanced Editing here with cleaning up blemishes and using some spot editing. Photoshop work here consisted of contrast, slight hue increase, resized for DPC. If I could get the shadow off of her foot, I\'d be happy.

A nice idea. The only thing that bothers me is the green stuff below her. Good luck.

I like this but the lighting is very hard. I think I'd have tried to soften the shadows a bit with some fill flash or a reflector of some sort. Also, her positioning seems funny, think it might have looked better if her back had been against the wall (hey, another cliche) and she was pushing on the rock. Just a few thoughts, hope they help.

I like the compositon, but the shadow on her foot is a little distracting. Also I would have liked to have seen more worry on her face.

is she holding that boulder up.

Man, I could have sworn I saw a picture with this girl in a canyon somewhere recently... I think she was standing at the entrance to a canyon or something. I honestly preferred the other one. This one is a bit too close and makes her look awkward.

As to her pose, I think it might have looked more natural if she had her back to the 'hard place' and her hands pushing on the rock, but that would have required her to get a little more in the space, probably at the cost of your light... Indeed the picture itself suffers from a bit of of the very cliche in the title.

Nice skirt.

Oh nevermind...*deleting obvios joke*

Shot works well. I think some fill flash would have given it a little more pop for ya though
