 How I did this:
- Wait for it to rain
- Convince my wife to go outside into our back garden and stand in it while getting soaked
- Tell her jokes to make her laugh
- Take the picture
- Edit colour balance
- Edit saturation and hue
- Edit levels
- Edit brightness / contrast
- Crop
- Unsharp / noise reduction
- Take my wife out to dinner for her limitless understanding

And that's it!

Very nice lighting and pose. If anything I would say it needs a little more rain to hit me harder visually, but a good shot nonetheless!
