Boy, voters really didn't like this one. Oh well. Funny thing is that right after I submitted this I saw a similar style in our local paper. Oh well.

I liked the motion and ambience you captured here. IMO, a pretty good capture. I would have cropped it to get here a bit off the center of the frame to strengthen compostion.

The title thing is subjective. I like (even as a photo editor) for a title to fill in gaps for me to tell me what is happening in the photo. At least, it should provoke me to look further into cut-line, story, etc.

Would it have scored higher with a different title? Probably not. I think I was in the minority on focusing on titles. But, that comes from my experience in journalsim.

Cropping for a stronger composition would have helped more IMO. But, voting is often on a total package. Never give the voters any reason to mark ya down, and that includes your title. See?

You got a lot of votes in the 4-5-6 range, so you have shown the voters a good technical photo. You just left them a few holes that they couldn't get past for higher votes.

I had a feeling this one was yours. I loved it! I actually was the one who gave you your 1 10 because I loved the motion, the happy look on the dancer's face. I thought it was great.

I like the shot and can see it in a local paper, but give me some info as to who she is. What's the significance in this shot?
