 There is so much going on for me right now, that finding time to take my camera out at any time except early morning when I walk the dog is nigh on impossible. However, I made a conscious effort on Friday to go out and shoot the sunset, only to discover the next morning that there was a Speed Challenger, but it began on April 29th, so my Friday shots wouldn't count. So,come Saturday, I sneaked into some neighbouring farm land, which I knew had water frontage, and waited - for what turned out to be a pretty lousy sunset.

In terms of PP time was also against me, so just some levels and curves adjustment, and colour balance. A small crop, horizon straightening and resizing.

Not my best sunset shot be a long chalk, but I hope voters like it.

I know the whole palm tree and sunset thing is a bit clichéd but I do like this shot and I'm pleased the voters did too.

I guess I'm just a sucker for palm trees at sunset...but as common as they are they aren't usually as successful as this one. Love the silhouette against the perfectly orange sky! Nice!

Beautiful capture. Great golden tones and silhouettes. Though would've cropped off some of the bottom, half of the black bar on the bottom, and a tad off the left if you want to keep to a similar aspect ratio.

Very Nice! I really like the composition, colors, and exposure control displayed in this image. I also like that it's not way over-sharpened. This should make a wonderful print. Congrats on a well photographed image!

In Iceland i have mountains and snow but i would love to be where this photo was taken. Good shoot but I have seen so many sunset photos so it is not a winning photo in my eyes but 7 from me.

Wow, this is gorgeous! Most photos I see like this show the silhouettes kind of blurry, but this is amazing in its crispness against that firey sky! 10

Sunset shots aren't usually stand-outs for me, but I really like this one a lot. This is very soothing and all around beautiful!

Fantastic colours and good use of the rule of thirds to compose your scene. A couple of things that I think would improve this photo ... The top of the palm tree is cut off. It would have been really ice to see all of the tree. Also, on a minor note, the water line is just off of level (not by much but it is something I noticed). JMO
