This one so reminds me of Christine from the Stephen King book - love it! |

phew, really glad you made the top20 :)
Actually, there would be no selective editing required to darken the background, all legal even in Basic Editing. Open the Selective Color Dialog in PS... select blacks from the top picklist, slide the bottom most slider to the right till you see the bk disappear.
Did I already mention how awesome this would look in print ;)
printed out big.

I do not like car pictures but this is pretty darn cool. Great composition. |

I like the quirky symmetry of this image. the patterns and shapes are interesting...something about it just makes me want to stay awhile and look around. |

beautiful rendition. Can still see the washer in the background, but that can be fixed with further editing. The sharpness, detail, and color draw my attention away enough that I don't see it. Well kinda. :) 9 |

lovely...I would have dodged out the background as it is distracting and messy in the top left corner and takes away from the smoothe lines and clarity at the front 8 |

Amazing image. The color and overall clarity is awesome. Very nicely composed too. One nitpick, I can see the background objects in the shadows. With this image having such a stunning graphic quality, would've darkened that area out.
p.s.
This would make such an awesome print 8) |

bg wall paraphenalia is distracting, might want to burn that in next time. Cool composition, nice color, nice chrome. |

Beautiful color, love the car, chrome and the checkered floor. I wish I didn't notice the wall behind (I'm thinking a gausian blur or digital camera noise removal would take care of that nicely or else some burning to that background). Still a great composition! |

Very cool shot. I love the floor. The stuff on the wall in the back is a little distracting...maybe you can remove that or just darken up that whole wall? |

The background distracts me because it is not dark enough so i can see some radio and a clock on the wall. |

Nice shot. It's not easy getting a shot like this with all the reflections from a good paint job and lots of chrome.
I only wish the hood was down and the haning power cord in the background was gone. |

Great lines color and chrome. Great 50s feel. My only complaint (albeit a small one) is the stuff in the background. The loose cord is a distraction. Other than thta - wonderful shot. Bumping up. |

Certainly has that "wow" factor. Good framing, color, and I like the reflection of the flooring in the chrome. |

Since you could use advanced editing for this challenge I might have made the background on the left black or white to get rid of the distracting stuff on the garage wall. Otherwise awesome shot and beautiful reflections in the metal of the car. I also like the composition with the car split down the middle. |

This would easily be a 10 if the wall in the background wasn't there distracting from the cool lines and colors. |

Entered something similar myself in 'Something Old', but you did a better job than me! Only thing I might've done with yours is make use of the advanced editing to get rid of some of the wires etc in the top left backgound. |

Splendid! I can see this winning a ribbon although I'm wondering how much better this would look with the other half of the car in the shot. |

Perfect with the checked floor. What a beauty. I love those old ones. We had a 57 aqua Belaire station wagon when I was little. Called it the "Blue Goose."
This is cool - nice a clear and sharp. Good coloring and I like the crop too. |
