Great shot! I wish you would tell us how you got it. Capturing Diamond Head in the background must have been a challenge.

On a photojournalism side, the photo would work well. Being that we are still looking at overall quality, I do think the surfer is a bit underexposed, and the water behind her and the clouds in the upper left are extremely blown out on my monitor. Overall, it is a 7.

This has the look of a great magazine cover. I can imagine the difficulty in taking the shot, and the smile just adds to it.

My one gripe is that to be on the cover of a surfer mag, the orientation should be portrait, not landscape.

Surfer mag, yeah. Also, probably would work for local papers if she won some sort of award for surfing. Works well for a postcard too for local tourism. Great capture.
