Spirit of Washington dinner train at its train depot in Renton, Washington, USA. The train takes diners along Lake Washington to wineries northeast of Seattle while they enjoy dinner on the rails as if they were in a bygone era.

Greetings from the Critique Club...

Positives:
Excellent tonal range. Very clean and sharp. One of the better b/w images around.

Suggested Improvements:
For this particular challenge images that appealed more towards breaking news stories did better. This would work well as a story about the train but I don't think people really awarded you for that which is a shame since the challenge wasn't just about newspapers. Anyway, in terms of improving this image, just get some clouds in the shot since those never hurt.

Summary:
Excellent image. Just not exactly what voters wanted to see in this challenge.

Gorgeous! Very nicely done shot, and I could easily see it in a magazine or paper w/ an article about historic trains or this particular one, etc.

OK, this works for me. I'd like to see a little more of "the spirit" but static shots like this often do make newspapers.

Why B&W? Colors is used so much in photojournalism. Nice subject though.
