Without the title this shot would not meet the challenge. Everything is out of focus and I assume that's the way you wanted it but I don't think it helps this shot IMO. |

I like the composition, although I'm not sure it says desloation to me. I do, however, find your lighting to be way too harsh as it obscures the main subject, the sewing machine, with glare to it's body, which blocks interesting detail, as well as, the shadow cast on the background, which confuses it's shape. I don't see any evidence that this machine has not been used in a while, unless your intention was to achieve that effect with the high grain image you've acheived. |

You ought to give your PostProgressing a small amount of time, there are some good tutorials on DPC, check them out... this is almost to pixelates for me to see.... |

My mum had a sewing machine like this one, you had to pedal to sew. I worked great! It's interesting how this picture looks "old". I like the tone and the composition. It seems to me though that you might have resized from a smaller picture to a larger one? To my eyes it looks pixelated. But I like it. ~7 |

I like your approach to the challenge. I like the choice of subject and the arrangement of the objects. The title is essential to properly interpret the photo which will bother some people, but I like it. The obvious pixelation adds a fuzziness to the image that adds to its character and enhances its message; this is a uniquely digital technique that I think should be used more often. But you need to watch for diagonal lines like the shadow on the left that gives a stair effect with large pixels. This photo would be a lot more effective if the overall tone was darker and the lighting was softer (the glare across the sewing machine, which should be dark, is especially distracting). A more interesting background would be helpful as well. |

The image is badly pixelated and it does not appear that anything is in focus. Also the lighting is very harsh on the front of the sewing machine. |

I´m sorry but the image quality is pretty poor and grainy. It detracts a bit from enjoying the picture for what it is. |

A bit pixellated, I think |

the composition is very good. I like the folds of the material contrasting tne glasses and sewing machine and threads. The colors are good but not well focused. Oversharpened? |

Touching theme and wonderful title. The shot might be a bit more effective though had you managed to light it a little differently to soften that large shadow behind the machine. Also, the resolution does not seem very crisp on my PC. It's not that it's out of focus, it looks to be more of a digital problem. |

Is very noisy (too much zoom or compresion). Really hard to distinguish the details |

I like the idea -- the photo seems overly compressed though, leaving things jaggy and pixely. |

Really poor resolution for some reason - the result is that the shot is extremely pixelated. It's hard to tell if this would be a good picture, due to the pixelation problem. |
