 I know I know... Almost makes me sick to my scomach, it´s such a Cliche!!! I can´t believe it did so well, was sure this was going to score a 6.2 and not a 7.2. Must admit I am pretty dissapointed though to not get a ribbon with this score, when I went to bed 4 hours before rollover my score was a 7.38 something. Seems I need to score well above a 7 to ribbon on this site. Not complaining in the least though, just makes it an extra challenge for me :D Must admit I am a teeny weeny bit glad it dropped though, didn´t want two so similar shots as my top 2 photos here, wanted that ribbon more though!

This is essentially a reshoot of my Complementary colors II entry.

Lit with two flashes, a 580ex and a 550ex bounced into umbrellas, backround just a green cloth. Bothers me that the backround is lighter towards the bottom but I took this after midnight, 3 hours before the deadline and didn´t really wanna bother with a reshoot so this will have to do...

As for post processing, cropped, contrast adjustment with curves, color balance and selective color to tweak the colors abit, make the green parts greener and the strawberry more distinctively red. Sharpened after resizing.

We've seen the proverbial splash shot a zillion times, but this fits the challenge just fine. My only complaint is the deadly "bullseye" centered subject. It would be so much more effective for me if the glass were way to one side with lots of negative space. Or maybe have the glass in one corner - it would really pull your eye to it. Nice stop action. Good use of the red/green.

7 - Good. Difficult, but perhaps a more refined crop, especially at the bottom, also just looks like it needs a fraction of a fraction nudge rotate up on the left. Perhaps more stem in the shot, not sure. Just seems it needs a little 'extra', in my opinion.
