These colours are normally Red & Green but due to the late our and the darkening skies with rough weather the light changed the hue to a slight orange and green.

I can't believe I didn't comment on this during the challenge. I had given it an 8. It is stunning and the golden reds of the earth against the sky - wow. The diagonal lines of the tree really complete this image. Wonderfully done. Congratulations on your high placement.

WOW! I just saw this for the first time now, thanks to a forum thread. The colors are amazing!! What a great job you did of capturing the light on the red earth, too. That tree is the icing on the cake. Wonderful image!

Geez, I just remembered to come back to this one. If you saw my note during the challenge, you can guess that I wanted this to ribbon. 12th is good, but I thought this was just WOW!

I really like the natural view here - the sky really makes the shot, but you can feel that overcast, low sun sort of day.

Now this is stunning! Okay I'm an Aussie but that aside this is beautiful! I love the sky, the clouds are just stunning and they frame the gum perfectly. I hope you do really well with this, one of my favs. 10

4 - Nice. Sharper perspective, incorporating more 'earth'/colors, make this better for this Challenge in my opinion. Too much green competing here to really 'showcase' the color scheme. A more refined crop, especially on the right as well.

stunning...if only those white posts were not there...the sky looks amazing and brooding...the tree is superb, what amazing colours in the bark...this would look great on a wall in high gloss with a black matte and good black frame...well done...Go Aussie!

The tree has such rich color, but I fear the dirt may be a bit too red and distracting and not very complementary. =/
