Hello from the Critique Club!
This shot definitely has that wow factor that grabs your attention. The sky is very ominous and it strikes me not as a negative, but as a late evening sky that is about to produce the most horrific storm ever seen. The airplane's colors add to the tension of the shot, as it looks quite sinister with the dark nose and bright windshield.
I very much like how the airplane is in the lower portion of the frame as it reinforces the idea that it is about to land. This also gives good balance between the plane and the orange part of the sky. I don't care for the light post. It is much to prominent in this shot and does steal some attention from the airplane and sky. It might have been better if you had moved a few steps to the left so as to make the light post the right edge of the frame. However, doing this may have ruined the angle you had on the airplane. Having the plane coming right at the viewer is one of the key elements that make this such a powerful shot. So maybe a few steps closer would have helped.
Overall this shot is quite good and is definitely one of the more memorable shots in this challenge. ...And congratulations on your best entry so far!

From "eh" in positive to "check out that sky!" in negative. Good choice! |

Pretty cool, the sky looks awesome and normally I hate lightposts in pictures but here it works very well, gives the photo some scale and three dimensionality. 7 from me. |

i think i would like this better without the post in front, it traps my attention a bit too much. |

Great job on the sky. The perspecitive makes it look like the plane is headed towards the lights. |
