 Practicing formation flying for a parade the next day. Decided on an ominous stormy look simply because that's what the lighting presented itself with that day.

Dodging/Burning (lots i know - digital art yet?), sharpening, very slight orange photo filter, and a tad of blur on the horizon for the 'misty' effect.

Did i succeed with the ominous feel or go to far?

Very nice, I bet you can get the coolest pictures. I like how the plane in front gives perspective to the photo. It does not look over processed in my opinion, and the ominous feel is still there.
