 Editing: Crop; Adjustment layers for levels, hue & saturation (red & magenta), curves; flatten image; noise removal; resize; save for web.

Took this in Taos on Sunday. There are all sorts of flowers blooming there - it is way ahead of La Jara where the grass is barely starting to turn green. I've always liked Bleeding Heart bushes and have never been able to get one to grow in our yard. I never noticed before how they have the liquid in the white area. I wonder if this is why they are called bleeding hearts or if the white thing is supposed to look like it's bleeding from the heart.

I used my new extension tube for the first time on my 50mm lens. I tried the 25 tube first but you had to get so close - changed to the 12 tube instead.

Pity about the distracting highlight at the bottom left background......otherwise a very good photo...great lighting.

Nice shot. A little more depth of field (and excluding the leaves on the right) would have made this even better. The branch in the upper left is a little distracting. Perhaps shooting from a slightly different angle and/or not cropping so tight on the top and left? Good effort.

These seem a little pink for complementary colors. Nice shot, though and excellent crispness on the flowers.
