Hi, my name is Kari and from the critique club.
First Impression - the most important one:
Naked man I am always in :) although with the balcony reflections you do wonder if he feels a little jailed ...
Composition:
I really like the crop used here for the two layers of best to finish on the half .. the first play the horizontal thirds ... maybe a little mush cropped at the top .. but not sure about that ... I also think he does support your hobbies really well .. keep him on.
Subject:
Kinda meets the challenge .. the actual reflection in the window seems to create the frame which is a really clever use ...
Technical (Colour and light):
I like this ... good and sharp .. not as grainy as I thought it would be with ISO 500 ... and quite crisp.
To grow its vote?:
include the window frame to get that working ... who cares though this worked it out.
Summary:
I think you have just done great here ... I know what painkillers can do .. so well done.

| Funny image, I hope the 'model' was aware of you taking this photograph and agreed to it, otherwise, this is a rather dramatic violation of privacy. Anyway, the title reflects the duality of the point of view (something quite difficult to achieve) well. The only thing which bothers me is the one bar which goes through his head. |

Really wish that was a naked woman instead of a man, don´t take that the wrong way :)
This image works well though, love the reflection in the window and how it all blends together. 7 from me. |

| when I voted your photo, I looked at it quite a while, because I couldn't figure out why there's no reflection of you with your camera in the window. I like the "sunday-morning-feeling" with your photo. bumping to 8 |

| Really nice shot, the reflections cut out in just the right place. He doesnt really look like he's enjoying it tho - looks like something distracted him from his book and he's a bit pissed off, hehe :) |

I like this; My own shot plays wth the idea of the two worlds of the refelected and the transmitted light, as does this. You've achieved more with the graphic relationship of that reflected world to the direct one though. One thing: I would wish for a more involved treatment of it. This comes across as very much a real world thing; perhaps taking this into the black and white world would emphasise those overlaid views a touch more - in effect, make the photograph be about those conjunctions, rather than the tendency of this to make it more of a portrait. I just neither likie nor understand the idea of the photographic portrait, you understand - it may be, to those who appreciate them, that this is a great one.
There's a temporariness about the bed here too - no valance, the shaping of the edge of that 'mattress' almost makes one think of a sofa-bed, or a guest room. I like that transience - and the complexity of those reflections just add to the absorption of the whole scene. Top work. |

| Well, I guess if I was a woman I would like this picture better...but I will not count points off for that! I do like the shot, the bars going down the picture is really cool! Your detail is really good. 9 from me. |

| There is no frame in the typical sense in this, but the light and reflection frame this so creatively. Very nice! |
