Probably get hammered for this one, but the voting average isn't everything. A pretty drastic crop of a 200mm shot. At least my telephoto technique isn't too bad :-)

I liked the way this dealt with the idea of 'window', so here I go....

Way too noisy for my taste but I like the shallow DOF.

Whoa, what a cool echoing of inside and outside looks. You have a double mirror of concepts here. Very well seen! I like the warm colours and the bokeh foreground.

Foreground is a little too blurred for this to be an effective composition.

A window within a window... creative, lovely colors
A bit to over saturated in places, especially on the man's neck and face otherwise nicely done.

Nice shot

I think the noise in this photo was a good choice. Without it, it would be rather snapshot-ish.

A good idea, but a bit grainy in the foregroundd.

That's a neat shot and very interesting. I like the coloring and the noise -- hopefully it's being received well by the voters.

Getting outside that window from your position would have made this one much nicer. I like the way the painter(?) has framed himself for you. Good eye.

This is pretty good, a good catch there and great idea

This picture might have been better if you just had the man in the window in the frame rather than the distracting things around the outside of it...good idea though, and good subject.

Excellent catch of a double shot here. Like the effects. Colors balance nicely enough to keep my eyes wandering thru the entire photo. Good job here.

Probably won't be popular in general, but I really like the DoF with the blurry areas in the foreground, since it adds a sense of distance. The photo looks a bit too oversharpened though.

Very interesting photo. Nice warm colours although I would like to see a bit of Neat image to remove the grain, (unless you wanted the effect?). Good luck with it.

it seems quite exceptionally grainy to me but i think if it wasnt grainy would have been a great photo.
04/29/2006 03:26:26 AM
Good composition. IMO there is something that disturbs the object, perhaps the focus

The right side of the photo and the bottom is distracting to me.

This is great - too many of the entries here include windows for the sake of meeting the challenge - they aren't integral to the image and, in many cases, add little or nothing to it. This one is different - not only do I love the depth of field choice and the unusual composition, I like the subject too - it just WORKS!

This shot is really hurt by all the noise, but I like the idea.

i like this idea. I think it would be a strong composition if the top blurry bit was cropped out as well as a little off the bottom.

I like it, dont ask me why yet... I'll tell you later.. -8-

OK I know what it is, the cheek of it, the daringness, the danger, the grain helps loads with this, and I think he looks like a ringer for that 'Star Trek' guy jon luke picard.

Nice shot. It would have been fun to see the same shot with the foreground a little more in focus, not that that would have been better, just interesting. Niice title also, hehe.
