This is subtle, very subtle, and for being creative with this challenge, kudos from me! Well composed and engaging shot. |

I personally like the photo but it is a little hard to tell that the stuff on the tracks and on the sides is litter. Or at least I think that is what it is. Might just be the computer that makes it not so clear. I do like it though. |

i like the angle of this, but I wonder if maybe the foreground were sharper and then have the plants, and tracks get blurry indicating an uncertain future.. just a thought.. |

In the confines of this challenge this image has very little WOW.. I'm also having an issue woth the focus.. You need to use the max DOF here and use manual focus at a couple of feet.. Looks like infinity is in focus but close up has suffered. |

I love the romanticism of this picture. It is so simple but it conveys a strong sense of unobstructed linkages between past, present, and future. Very nicely executed. |

At first I looked at this and thought "yep, forcing a pic into a challenge topic." and sighed to myself. Then about 5 seconds later I thought "nope, I was completely wrong." This shot does a great job of representing the future because it draws your eyes off into the distance right up to the point that you can no longer make up the tracks. It leaves you wondering what is up ahead. It carries with it not only a sense of distance or scenery, but I think it does a pretty good job of expressing time as well.
The colorful pebbles in the foreground add to the appeal of the shot. Given that the shot is so focused on symetry for effect, the difference in the space that the trees and greenery fill in on each side is something to consider. I wouldn't say for sure that it poses a problem, but it does seem to draw attention to itself and I don't think that helps.
Nice work. |
