I want to keep a dog like that.

Casual work...

Bad light
07/18/2002 11:03:00 PM
maybe a better background

Well I must say I am partial to animal pics. Animals really brighten our world. And this one is beautiful. I'm not crazy about the perspective. I would have tried a few other positions to photograph him/her from. Maybe you did. The tip tail being cut off is bothersome. I'd like to see the pooch's eyes too. But I still like this picture.

Cool be a really neat shot if he was laying on a different cover, a solid color or something black and white.

Nice Clear Shot

don't forget the tail! need the entire dog in this shot

maybe on an all white or all black bed-sheet!

too washed out and lossy from beiong over compressed. Remember that the file size limit is 150K not 50K so there should be 3 times as much information in this picture

Very cute dog. Yet, the image doesn't really speak to me - sorry.

A close up of his face from the nose would be neat. The colors seem a little flat to me. Maybe some saturation, if possible, or even black and white? karmat

good subject. Background OK, lighting OK, pose unremarkable. I think you could have done a lot more with this one.

Personally, with this being a dalmation, I would have done black and white. It is slightly overexposed, as you can tell in the whites ... possibly from a flash.
07/16/2002 04:52:00 PM
Some flashes leave picture over exposed or washed out. Can you adjust flash output? or bounce flash?

A lovley dog but a boring picture.
07/16/2002 07:12:00 AM
OUCH--you cut the tail off, cute pix other wise.

a doggy dog world indeed. what a cutie. looks like a nice comfy bed too. it could stand to be a little darker, so the dog would stand out more from the blankets.

Awe, cute dog. Good exposure, but might benifit from a bit more contrast. Do note that putting your subject in the middle of the frame like this creates somewhat of a static photo.

ok snapshot of your pet. Nothing special though.

Good on the face, bad on the rump/tail. Cute dog. (isn't the saying "it's a dog eat dog world"?) 7 Swash

Fine looking pup. I'm sure she/he is your best friend. The photo is a pretty good snap but you cut his tail off! That and we should see his sweet eyes better. Good work. Kee

Cute, however - The spots against that bedspread (yuck, IMO) - too bad you cut his tail off, crop closer to top and less at bottom perhaps... I think a solid color behind him or a pattern that was a complimentary contrast (like zebra or something) may have helped in my rating (IMHO). Good job. ~ cthenk

beautiful dalmation

IMO the rear end of a dog does not make a cute pet picture.
07/15/2002 02:23:00 AM
This is a cute snapshot of a cute dog :) I think a different angle and a different composition on this one would create a much better image. = 4 - jmsetzler

Nice looking dalmatian. I would have used a lower angle, and focused more on the dogs face instead of the entire animal.
