Thanks everyone for your comments. Here is the less "plastic" version. Hope you will like it.

Composition and emotion in this shot are awesome. The expressiveness and direct look in his eyes are classic. Agree with Amy.....would be cool to see it processed w/out the NI. |

Hey Shail :-) This has some really cool tones, so I think the b&w part of your post-processing was a big hit - well done! I can't believe how mean some people are with the comments. I agree that you went too far with the noise reduction and I would've made that comment had I voted on Candid. But I wish people would give criticism in a slightly less sarcastic way. Anyway, great job with the b&w, super title, nice capture. Just for fun, maybe you could try reprocessing without the NI and see how it looks. The composition is brilliant. |

Looks overprocessed with NI to me, the kid's skin looks like plastic. Too bad because I like the composition and b/w |

The contrast definitely makes this an interesting one to look at. Nice. |

Weird overprocessed look and too much direct eye contact for a good candy... pardon, candid. |

this could have been brilliant..but over sharpened and too much NI skin looks plastic. no detail in the blacks on the jacket and his hair. This image is generally over-processed |

I like the scowl and emotion in the face, but to me it is ran through neat image or whatever you used to reduce noise and the skin on the hands and face seem to be abit plastically looking, gave it a 5 |

this is a nice candid portrait... the image feels too 'plastic'... maybe an overuse of neatimage and the sharpening tools... |

I don't usually like comments or give them, but since candids are near and dear to my heart, I have decided to comment on every photo in this challenge.
A LOT of neat image used here, and don't really see the need. Would have liked to see less neat image and true facial features. Nice eye emotion though. |

Some artifacts call my attention at face, hands and forehead/hair boundaries. This could be done at post-process curves abuse or multiple light sources. |

how much neat image on this...looks so spooky and unnatural...would have been a great shot without all the processing |

This is good, specially the expression of the boy. Not sure bit about contrast if its ok or bit too much. |

Interesting picture, but it looks like it has been oversharpened and too much neat image. |

emotive - but too soft. Looks like the image was de-noised just a bit too much. |
