I'd crop it almost square, excluding overlit background. Wouldn't make it a better candid, but a better portait - quite possibly. |

I'm not much for receiving or giving comments, but since Candids are
near and dear to my heart, I have decided to give comment on every entry
in this challenge.
This is a color portrait/headshot, and not a candid shot. Children are far too easy to capture, in candids or any other type of shot. Their emotions and actions are virtually uncontained. A candid, to me, and in what I like to see, and as I see it in photography and not based on Websters Dictionary, is a capture of a moment of someone unawares and that tells a bit of a story to the viewer. There is no real story here. A darling girl. Lovely eyes. But a straight on head shot and portrait. It's a 3 for me. |
