::: Critique Club :::
Hi, my name is Kari and from the critique club. I think this is the first critique you have had. I noticed that you never include photographers comments and on this I think that you should know that it is difficult if you don't give us any information in your photographers comments.
When we do a critique, we go past just the photographic result, that's what voters comments do. The critique looks at what you were trying to achieve, how you wanted it to look and what issues you had in getting the image captured and ready for voting.
First Impression - the most important one:
Definately looks candid ... she has one whooper of a camera.
Composition:
A little cut short on the left side of the picture for me ... I think it may have worked better with her body playing along the vertical thirds line just to make her the focus of the picture and remove it from the picture she is taking.
Subject:
This seems to meet the challenge well ... congrats on that .. candids are really hard to do. Maybe others felt that it was posed and that is why the scores of ones .. I am noat sure.
Technical (Colour and light):
Would love to see the richness of the colours in the sorroundings she is in ... the DOF seems to work well here ... but it really does seem a little black and white overkill.
To grow its vote?:
Try it in colour and some different crops ... to see how they work.
Summary:
Good solid shot .. well done, keep shooting as you are doing really well.
If you've got any questions about this critique, please feel free to contact me via the PM system.
Cheers

I don't usually like comments or give them, but since candids are near and dear to my heart, I have decided to comment on every photo in this challenge.
This is boring to me, sorry. A photographer taking a shot of another photographer is really kind of boring. It has no emotion and little for a story to me. The tones are nice though, and a 4 for the tones. |

Interesting image! I like how the lines are angled to converge. It gives a sort of zoom effect which goes rather nicely being how she appears to be using a zoom lens. |
