I think this has great potential but would have preferred either greater DOF, or the persons face in primary focus |

Good composition and toning. Perfect dof with the fingers on the book in focus and the out of focus head --> gives a feeling of 'thinking/learning/wisdom. |

I'm not much for receiving or giving comments, but since Candids are near and dear to my heart, I have decided to give comment on every entry in this challenge.
This is unusual, but unfortunately the focus is on the old book more than the older gentlemen. I would really LOVED to have seen his face. It is filled with shadows and imagining it more than seeing it in a candid is not to my particular liking. I give it a 5 though. |

A unique perspective for this challenge. It almost feels like this image is more about the book than the individual? Interesting shot nonetheless. Good luck in the challenge. |
